Job Title: Scrum Engineer IV
Location: Glendale, AZ
Duration: 6 Months Contract
Pay Rate: $65–$75/hr (W2, DOE)
Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Scrum Engineer IV to support Agile delivery across multiple teams within a fast-paced engineering environment. This role is responsible for facilitating Agile ceremonies, maintaining team cadence, removing impediments, and ensuring effective collaboration between engineering, product, and business stakeholders.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Agile methodologies, excellent communication skills, and the ability to drive continuous improvement while supporting delivery goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Support 2–3 Agile teams to ensure consistent cadence and efficient delivery
- Facilitate all Agile ceremonies including:
- Daily stand-ups
- Sprint planning
- Backlog refinement
- Sprint reviews/demos
- Retrospectives
- Partner with Engineering Leaders, Product Owners, Analysts, and Business Stakeholders to manage and prioritize the backlog
- Remove team impediments or escalate issues to ensure progress
- Shield teams from external disruptions and maintain focus on sprint commitments
- Assist with release planning and deployment coordination
- Maintain and monitor sprint backlog using tools like JIRA or Azure DevOps
- Track and report key Agile metrics such as:
- Velocity
- Burn-down charts
- Sprint progress
- Drive continuous improvement through retrospective outcomes and action tracking
- Support project planning, milestone tracking, and status reporting to leadership
- Ensure clear and consistent communication across all stakeholders
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or Business
- 6 years of experience in Scrum Master / Agile delivery / project management roles
- Proven experience working in fast-paced software or service delivery environments
- Strong knowledge of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, etc.)
- Experience facilitating Agile ceremonies and managing multiple teams
- Proficiency with tools such as JIRA, Azure DevOps, or Rally
- Strong skills in:
- Facilitation
- Conflict resolution
- Stakeholder management
- Continuous improvement
Preferred Qualifications
- Certifications such as:
- CSM (Certified Scrum Master)
- PMP (Project Management Professional)
- ACP (Agile Certified Practitioner)
- Experience with release management or deployment coordination
- Background working closely with engineering and technical teams
