Operations Lead Specialist

🚨 Russell Tobin & Associates is seeking an Ops Lead Specialist – Reconciliation & Analysis 🚨

We’re hiring an Ops Lead Specialist (R&A) to support a leading financial services firm. This role is ideal for someone with reconciliation and fund accounting experience who is looking to take on a more hands-on, leadership-oriented position within operations.

📍 Location: Hybrid (3 days per week in office)

⏱ Schedule: 40 hours/week

📅 Duration: Contract through December (contract-only)

💼 What You’ll Do:

• Reconcile books and records for client security positions and cash accounts

• Ensure daily production meets quality and timeliness standards

• Coordinate intraday and end-of-day reconciliation priorities

• Monitor, investigate, and resolve breaks and discrepancies

• Communicate with internal teams, clients, and vendors to resolve issues

• Produce and analyze daily, weekly, and monthly reporting

• Identify error trends and recommend process improvements

• Support system upgrades, testing, and reconciliation product rollouts

• Train and mentor junior team members and assist with workflow documentation

• Contribute to ongoing process efficiency and productivity initiatives

📊 What We’re Looking For:

• Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent experience)

• 1–2 years of Global Fund Accounting experience

• Strong knowledge of reconciliation processes and operations workflows

• Excellent analytical, research, and problem-solving skills

• Strong communication skills (written & verbal)

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

• High attention to detail with a proactive, self-starter mindset

• Ability to work both independently and within a team

➕ Nice to Have:

• Experience with Access Databases

• Exposure to operational process improvements or system enhancements
