Field Service Engineer
Chandler/Phoenix, AZ
Work Schedule: Full-Time direct hire with benefits
Salary Range: $53,000 – $111,000 per year
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Field Service Engineer to provide installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and technical support for complex electro-mechanical and electronic equipment at customer sites. This role plays a critical part in ensuring equipment reliability, minimizing downtime, and delivering high-quality technical service in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
The ideal candidate will have strong technical troubleshooting abilities, experience working with advanced equipment systems, and the flexibility to travel and support customer operations as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform on-site installation, repair, maintenance, and startup services for complex electro-mechanical and electronic equipment
- Troubleshoot equipment issues to the component level and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime
- Conduct diagnostics and root cause analysis to resolve system malfunctions
- Support equipment upgrades, modifications, and relocations
- Maintain accurate service documentation, reports, and maintenance records
- Collaborate with internal teams and customers to coordinate service activities
- Develop and implement customer response and action plans
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers when needed
- Maintain compliance with safety procedures and operational standards
- Participate in ongoing technical training and certification programs
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics, or related technical field
- Experience in installation, maintenance, repair, or troubleshooting of complex equipment systems
- Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics, diagrams, and technical manuals
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in controlled or technical environments requiring personal protective equipment
- Willingness and ability to travel frequently based on customer and project needs
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including overtime or on-call support when required
- Strong communication and customer service skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting semiconductor, manufacturing, automation, or industrial equipment
- Experience performing field service, equipment commissioning, or technical support
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office or similar business software tools
- Experience mentoring or training junior technical staff
- Experience working in customer-facing technical service environments
