Community Impact Consultant
Location: Walnut Creek, CA (Onsite)
Duration: 3-month W2 contract
Pay Rate: $100–$105/hour (W2)
Work Schedule: Full-time, onsite (travel as needed)
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Community Impact Consultant to support the design, delivery, and execution of enterprise-wide community impact and employee engagement programs. This role partners closely with internal stakeholders and nonprofit organizations to advance the company’s social impact strategy while delivering measurable, meaningful results.
The ideal candidate brings a strong mix of program design, relationship management, employee engagement, and data-driven storytelling, with the ability to operate independently in a fast-paced corporate environment.
Key Responsibilities
Community Impact & Program Development
- Design and implement enterprise-wide community impact and employee engagement programs aligned with business priorities and community needs.
- Support the evolution of the company’s social impact strategy through innovative program design and continuous improvement.
Nonprofit Partnership Management
- Manage day-to-day relationships with nonprofit partners, including collaboration on shared goals, reporting, and performance evaluation.
- Ensure effective coordination, communication, and timely funding disbursement to community partners.
Employee Engagement
- Develop and execute employee engagement initiatives that promote a culture of purpose, connection, and inclusion.
- Support planning and execution of volunteer activities, community events, and employee engagement initiatives.
Data, Reporting & Insights
- Track, analyze, and report on participation, impact metrics, and partnership performance using platforms such as Benevity.
- Leverage data insights to assess program effectiveness and recommend improvements.
Communications & Presentations
- Create and deliver compelling presentations and materials for internal and external audiences highlighting program strategy, impact, and outcomes.
- Develop communication strategies that showcase community stories, program achievements, and employee involvement.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with cross-functional teams to align community impact initiatives with enterprise strategies, ESG priorities, and inclusion and belonging goals.
- Identify opportunities for collaboration and innovation across the organization.
Operations & Administration
- Serve as lead administrator for corporate giving and volunteerism platforms (e.g., Benevity), ensuring an excellent employee experience.
- Support event logistics, planning, and execution as needed.
- Travel for nonprofit site visits, team meetings, and in-person events when required.
- Flex to support broader business needs as they arise.
Required Qualifications
- 7 years of experience in community impact, corporate social responsibility, employee engagement, nonprofit partnerships, or a related field.
- Proven experience designing and executing corporate social impact or employee engagement programs.
- Strong relationship management and communication skills with both internal stakeholders and external partners.
- Experience working with Benevity or similar corporate giving / CSR platforms.
- Excellent presentation, storytelling, and stakeholder communication skills.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and project management capabilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness and ability to work onsite in Walnut Creek, CA.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the financial services or similarly regulated industry.
- Background in ESG, corporate philanthropy, or community investment frameworks.
- Experience working in a flexible or hybrid work environment.
- Demonstrated ability to translate data into actionable insights and executive-level reporting.
