Job Title: Accounting Professional
Job Type: W2 Contract - 12 months
Location: Indianapolis, IN (Hybrid)
Schedule: M - F 8am to 5pm (Onsite - Thur and Fri)
Pay Rate: $ 30 - 33 / hour, DOE
Position Overview:
 The NAFSC Accounting Professional will provide accounting support and interact with various Accounting and Business departments. This role will involve preparing and delivering business-related accounting information to multiple teams, including the Defense finance teams and external buyers, as part of the sale of a portion of the marine business.
Key Responsibilities:

• Provide accounting details and documentation for AP, AR, GL, and cash items to Defense finance teams or external buyers as requested.
• Coordinate data and documentation required by the M&A group.
• Perform ad hoc accounting tasks including reconciliations, journal entry reviews, and other duties as assigned by management.
• Ensure accuracy and timeliness in all accounting deliverables.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field and 2 years of accounting experience (or Master’s degree with 2 years experience).
• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Knowledge of general accounting principles, journal entries, reconciliations, and analysis.
• Proficiency in Excel (candidates should rate themselves 4/10 or above).

• Experience with SAP.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions, high-volume activities, and multiple deadlines.
