Business Operations Manager

Job Title: Manager, Business Operations

Location: Onsite – Columbus, OH

Duration: 4–5 Month Contract

Pay Rate: $40/hour (W2)

Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Manager of Business Operations to support brand-wide operational processes. This role is responsible for owning the operational calendar, driving key process timelines, and overseeing planning activities across multiple teams. The ideal candidate has strong project management skills, a background in retail operations, and experience managing junior team members.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain, and manage the company’s operational calendar.
• Lead and track process timelines for major initiatives, ensuring cross-functional teams meet deadlines.
• Oversee and support the planning process for seasonal, financial, and strategic activities.
• Coordinate with teams across operations, merchandising, marketing, and finance to ensure alignment on deliverables.
• Identify and escalate risks related to timing, process gaps, or delays.
• Manage and mentor Coordinators, providing direction, prioritization, and performance support.
• Prepare and distribute operational documentation, timelines, and process updates.
• Maintain strong communication with the Director of Business Operations or Finance Director.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
• 5 years of experience in a retail or consumer-facing environment.
• Proven experience managing complex timelines, calendars, and cross-functional processes.
• Prior experience managing or mentoring junior team members.
• Strong organizational, communication, and project management skills.
• Ability to work onsite and collaborate in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in apparel, fashion, beauty, or similar brand-driven retail environments.
• Strong analytical and process-improvement mindset.
