Aircraft Engine Technician

Full Time - Direct Hire with benefits

Savannah, GA
-1st shift (7am to 3:30pm Monday - Friday)
-1st shift (6am -6:30pm Friday - Sunday- working 36 hours but paid for 40 with 10% shift premium)
Indianapolis, IN / Greenfield, IN
-1st shift (7am to 3:30pm Monday - Friday)
-2nd shift (3pm -1:30am Monday - Thursday)
๐ On-Call: Occasional weekends (about once per month)
๐ฐ Pay Range: $52K to $79K/year with benefits
About the Role
Client is seeking an Aircraft Technician to join our Savannah, GA OR Indianapolis, IN / Greenfield, IN -based repair station team supporting large aviation customers across business and civil aviation. In this role, you will provide maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) services on aircraft engines in both shop and field environments.
This position requires flexibility to travel extensively and support customer needs globally.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform engine maintenance in accordance with work scope instructions provided by Maintenance Operations Control.
- Conduct on-wing and off-wing engine maintenance, including engine changes.
- Troubleshoot defects in components and parts using structured diagnostic logic.
- Access and utilize technical engine documentation such as AMM, EMM, IPC, and other engine data materials.
- Interpret and apply Service Bulletins, FAA Airworthiness Directives, and Technical Variances as required.
- Obtain and maintain repair station inspection approvals.
- Interface professionally with customers and internal teams.
- Meet physical requirements including lifting up to 50 lbs and passing a required eye exam.
Basic Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED with 2 years of aircraft maintenance/repair/overhaul experience OR
- Associateโs Degree with 1 year of aircraft maintenance/repair/overhaul experience
- FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License (required)
Preferred Qualifications
- Gas turbine engine experience
- Prior FAR145 repair station experience
- Basic to intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
