As the Precision Manufacturing Office Operations Lead, you arrive ready to keep a busy machine shop humming. You kick off the morning by aligning staff and equipment schedules, checking production timelines, and reviewing open orders with outside processors. Throughout the day, you enter customer orders, expedite as needed, and keep records current for inventory, orders, and production schedules. You serve as the conduit between leadership, machinists, and customers—ensuring messages are clear and commitments are met.
When documentation is needed, you prepare and retain reports, update office procedures to sharpen productivity, and keep the shop organized. You coordinate interviews for new hires, help onboard team members, and field customer inquiries with professionalism. As external processing quotes are needed, you obtain and compare them, then track those outside operations to ensure on-time delivery—escalating and expediting when timelines are tight.
What you'll handle
- Direct daily office operations to maintain efficient workflow across the machine shop.
- Plan and manage scheduling for people and equipment, balancing priorities and capacity.

What you bring
- High school diploma or equivalent; an associate’s or bachelor’s in business administration or a related field is preferred.
- Experience in office management or administration, ideally within a manufacturing or machine shop setting.
- Meticulous organization and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, plus office management software.
- Comfort juggling multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
