You’ll follow detailed prints, bring together mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic elements, and validate performance so every build leaves our facility ready to work flawlessly.
A day in this roleYou’ll kick off by reviewing technical drawings and build notes. From there, you’ll stage components, assemble subassemblies, set up and calibrate the crimping tool, and verify operation. Throughout the day, you’ll collaborate with teammates to streamline steps, keep your workcell spotless, and document what you build—right down to modifications and test outcomes.
What you’ll tackle- Assemble complete crimping machines and subassemblies from blueprints and specifications.
- Integrate mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic components as required by each build.
- Set up and calibrate crimping tooling to achieve correct function and repeatability.
- Inspect assemblies and finished units for accuracy and quality at each stage.
- Run quality checks to ensure every component meets strict standards.
- Partner with the team to refine assembly processes and drive efficiency gains.
- Maintain an orderly, safe, and highly organized workstation.
- Troubleshoot and resolve build issues encountered during production.
- Record assembly steps, any changes, and testing results for traceability.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical manufacturing training is a plus.
- Background in machine assembly or a closely related field (preferred).
- Meticulous attention to detail and pride in craftsmanship.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, documents, and schematics.
- Solid mechanical aptitude; confident with hand and power tools.
- Strong troubleshooting mindset; comfortable working independently and with a team.
- Clear communication skills and a positive, collaborative approach.
- Experience operating a sit-down forklift (nice to have).
- Comfort using precision measurement tools such as calipers and micrometers.
