Your core responsibilities
- Configure and run Mazak VMC/HMC equipment to meet part specifications and schedules.
- Develop and refine CNC programs in Mazatrol and G-code.
- Manage tooling strategy, offsets, and in-process adjustments to stabilize performance.
- Validate results using precision measuring instruments and quality procedures.
- Partner with engineering and production to enhance toolpaths and machining methods.
- Maintain an orderly, safe work environment.
- Diagnose and resolve machining challenges to minimize downtime.
- Capture production data and maintain complete, accurate records.
- Provide day-to-day leadership for 2–3 milling operators—set direction, coach, and assist with issues.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical machining education/certification preferred.
- Proven background setting up and programming Mazak vertical and horizontal machining centers.
- Expertise with Mazatrol and G-code.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Experience with precision measurement and quality control practices.
- Strong attention to detail and a practical problem-solving approach.
- Clear communication and teamwork skills.
- Flexibility to adjust hours to meet production requirements.
- Learn our part mix, fixtures, and standards; verify programs and offset strategies.
- Stabilize cycle times and quality through targeted tooling and programming updates.
- Enable operator success with clear setups, documentation, and coaching.
