What are the responsibilities and job description for the Concierge position at RUNK & PRATT HEALTH CARE ENT INC?
- Answers multi-line telephone system and routes calls to appropriate staff
- Greets staff, residents, & visitors in a courteous & professional attitude
- Responds to & relays resident call bell or pendant alerts promptly to direct care staff
- Demonstrates the ability to communicate and understand the physical and cognitive needs of older adults
- Follows written & verbal directions & communicates effectively with residents, families, and staff to support quality care
- Remains accessible to residents and families as needed by maintaining presence at the concierge desk
- Take resident meal orders and delivers tickets to the kitchen in a timely manner
- Maintains respectful communication with staff, residents, and visitors
- Retrieves faxes & distributes to appropriate departments while maintaining confidentiality
- Coordinates transportation with facility and/or outside vendor for residents when requested
- Enters maintenance work order requests into electronic system
- Maintain clean, organized, professional workspace at the front desk
- Orders office and medical supplies as needed
- Makes copies for all departments as needed
- Prepares employee name badges as needed
- Accept and organize resident and facility deliveries/packages
- Allow entry to authorized staff/visitors afterhours
- Communicates promptly with Administration & department leaders regarding issues/problems that arise with residents, staff or families
- Demonstrates proficiency with computers and the ability to learn new systems
- Must be able to perform duties in accordance with the guidelines mandated by Social Services as the licensing agent of this facility and HIPAA
- Be of acceptable physical and mental health to carry out assigned duties
- Must possess mature judgment skills and be able to respond to emergency situations
- Attendance is required during inclement weather
- Follows infection control policies & procedures
- Follows & implements all policies & procedures of Runk and Pratt
- Maintains appropriate & respectful conduct within the workplace
- Provides support in any area that may arise that is above and beyond the normal expectations for this position.
- Graduation from high school or GED
- Complete annual in-service training as required
- State Police background check that is free from barrier offenses
- A current Tuberculosis screening on or within 7 days prior to the first day of employment and free from Tuberculosis
- The ability to meet physical requirements for position
- The ability to pass a drug test
