Duties
- Execute order picking and packing with precision using barcode scanning and RF scanners to ensure accurate fulfillment of customer orders.
- Operate heavy equipment such as reach trucks, forklifts, cherry pickers, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment following safety protocols.
- Manage inventory levels by stocking shelves, conducting cycle counts, and updating inventory management systems to maintain optimal stock levels.
- Load and unload shipments efficiently, ensuring proper handling of materials with manual handling techniques and heavy lifting procedures.
- Conduct quality control checks on products to verify order accuracy and packaging standards before shipping.
- Support shipping and receiving processes by preparing shipments, verifying shipment details, and maintaining detailed logs.
- Adhere strictly to safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE) during all warehouse activities to ensure a safe working environment.
Qualifications
- Previous warehouse experience or warehouse distribution background is highly preferred.
- Proficiency in operating warehouse management systems (WMS), barcode scanning for logistics, RF scanners, and inventory management systems.
- Skilled in the operation of heavy equipment such as reach trucks, forklifts, cherry pickers, pallet jacks, with valid certifications preferred.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting and materials handling with attention to safety standards.
- Strong organizational skills with basic math proficiency for inventory counts and order calculations.
- Experience in order fulfillment, packing, shipping & receiving, stock replenishment, and quality control processes.
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to warehouse operations and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
