Responsibilities
- Accurately pick and pack customer orders using barcode scanning technology and warehouse management systems to ensure correct items are shipped.
- Operate heavy equipment such as reach trucks, forklifts, pallet jacks, and manual handling tools safely to load and unload materials.
- Manage inventory by stocking shelves, conducting cycle counts, and updating inventory management systems to maintain stock accuracy.
- Prepare shipments by packaging products securely, labeling packages correctly, and ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
- Assist in shipping and receiving activities by unloading inbound freight, inspecting goods for quality control, and documenting discrepancies or damages.
- Use RF scanners and barcode scanning devices for order picking, inventory updates, and logistics tracking to streamline warehouse operations.
- Follow safety procedures diligently by wearing personal protective equipment (PPE), adhering to manual handling guidelines, and maintaining a clean work environment.
Skills
- Proven experience operating warehouse equipment such as reach trucks, forklifts, pallet jacks, and other heavy machinery.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory management software.
- Skilled in order fulfillment processes including picking & packing, shipping & receiving, and stock replenishment.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting while maintaining safety standards.
- Excellent attention to detail for quality control checks and accurate order processing.
- Basic math skills for counting items, measuring packages, and verifying quantities.
- Effective communication skills to coordinate with team members and warehouse supervisors.
- Commitment to safety protocol adherence including PPE use and safe operation of all equipment.
