Senior Hardware Engineer
Job Summary:
RTP is seeking a Senior Hardware Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, development, and validation of RTP’s embedded systems, from concept through high-volume manufacturing. Your expertise will drive the architecture, circuit design, schematic capture, PCB layout, and component selection. This role also involves troubleshooting complex issues using tools like oscilloscopes. You will collaborate with software development and manufacturing to ensure reliability, performance, and high-quality solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design & Development: Lead PCB schematic design, simulation, and layout.
· System Integration & Debug: Bring up prototypes, perform system validation, and debug complex hardware issues using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and other lab equipment.
- Full Lifecycle Management: Drive products from initial concept, through new product Introduction, to mass production, applying design for manufacturability principles.
- Compliance & Reliability: Ensure compliance with the industry standards ATEX and the IEC61508.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or related field, equivalent experience considered.
- Experience: 5 years of relevant experience in hardware development.
- Technical Proficiencies: Strong expertise in analog/digital circuit design, signal integrity, and power management. Knowledge of high-speed digital interfaces (USB, SPI, I2C, UART). Ability to work independently with minimal technical guidance.
- Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving, collaboration, and communication skills.
