Special Education Technician I

school district. To provide instructional and non-instructional duties with indirect professional supervision.
The nature of this position is to work with the teacher, content specialist, and/or supervisor in planning and
implementing instructional activities for students.
Responsibilities include:
- Assist in the preparation of instructional materials.
- Assist in drill and practice activities.
- Maintain the same high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality of information as is expected of
- Participate in in-service training, as assigned.
Skills:
- Communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience, empathy, and a commitment to equity and inclusion
Proper Maine DOE certification and background check required for all positions
