Speech and Language Pathologist RSU 16 District Wide - Full Time of Part Time Opening August 2026 Requirements: Certified Speech-Language Pathologist or Speech and Hearing Clinician Certificate K–12 (293) Current Criminal History Record Check (CHRC) clearance Experience working with students across exceptionalities Proficiency in treating a range of communication disorders, from simple articulation delays to working with non-verbal students Familiarity and comfort with augmentative communication devices Key Responsibilities: Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and cognitive-communication disabilities Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals Maintain accurate and detailed records of student progress Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of educational plans Stay current with the latest research and techniques in speech-language pathology Qualifications: Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution Maine state licensure in Speech-Language Pathology ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Willingness to travel between school locations as needed To Apply, Provide the Following: Faculty application (found at https://www.rsu16.org/) 282 B Certification/CHRC – Fingerprinting required (EOE) or ability to receive conditional certification Cover letter Current résumé Three signed, current letters of reference Transcripts ***This position has a specialist contract and case management stipend.
