Position Summary
RSI is recruiting for a Finance Manager who will be responsible for planning, leading, directing, developing, and coordinating policies, activities, and staff of the finance department on the Legacy Management Support (LMS) contract.

 

Job Title: Finance Manager
Location(s): Grand Junction, CO
Status: Full-Time
FLSA: Exempt
Hiring Range: $115,000.00 to $145,000.00 per year. (The anticipated starting salary is based on the posted minimum requirements for this position. The salary offered will be based upon the selected applicant’s education, training, and experience.)

 

This position is required to travel less than 5% of the time.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Report on a regular basis the company’s status against, and ability to meet, its strategic and operational objectives.
  • Responsible for month-end and year-end processing including reconciliations.
  • Collect and analyze cost data versus budget for ascertaining financial performance and risk assessment.
  • Develop, monitor, and enforce policies and procedures relevant to accounting, and project tracking.
  • Communicate and collaborate with departmental leaders to stay well-informed of spending.
  • Monitor legislation, regulations, policies, and procedures applicable to financial reporting and operations, and ensure compliance (i.e., FAR, FTR, GAAP).
  • Lead and supervise finance department staff on accounting, reporting, internal controls, budgeting, and other financial matters.
  • Hire, train, develop and appraise staff.
  • Coordinate annual financial and all other audits.
  • Ensure timely and accurate project invoicing.
  • Collect, interpret, and report financial data.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Required Education and Years of Relevant Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field. Experience in lieu of education considered.
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience and previous supervisory experience.

 

Licenses and Certifications

  • Valid Driver’s License

 

Required Skills and Abilities

  • Extensive experience and knowledge in dealing with accounting systems, budgets, internal controls, business planning, and asset management.
  • A well-defined sense of diplomacy, including solid negotiation, conflict resolution, unwavering commitment to professional integrity and ethics, and people management skills.
  • Able to build and maintain lasting relationships with other departments, key business partners, and government agencies.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
  • Sound analytical thinking, planning, prioritization, and execution skills.
  • Effective attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.

Essential Physical Requirements

Sedentary: Work involves exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. Jobs may be defined as sedentary when walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met.
