Job Description:

We are seeking a Finance Manager to lead and oversee all financial operations within the church. In this role, you will be responsible for:

• Managing the church’s financial planning, budgeting, and reporting
• Overseeing the preparation of financial statements, tax filings, and audits
• Monitoring cash flow, managing accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring financial stability
• Developing and implementing financial policies to maintain compliance with nonprofit regulations
• Working closely with church leadership to plan for growth and sustainability
• Managing and mentoring accounting staff, if applicable, to ensure efficient operations

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have:

• A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 4 years of experience in finance or accounting, preferably in a nonprofit or religious organization
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, nonprofit accounting practices, and tax regulations
• Experience with financial software (e.g., QuickBooks, Ramp, Paychex Fund EZ, or similar platforms)
• Previous experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting

• High attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information with integrity
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Compensation:

• Salary Range: $60,000 – $80,000 per year (commensurate with experience)
• Benefits: Health insurance, retirement plan, paid time off, and other benefits
