What are the responsibilities and job description for the RN Supervisor - Peds position at RSC Healthcare Staffing?
Open contract role with an ongoing contract opportunity. The RN Supervisor - Peds plans and develops programs to improve patient care and employee performance while overseeing pediatric service areas, including NICU and Mother-Baby, PICU, General Pediatrics, and other pediatric specialty units. Reporting to the Director of Nursing, this role monitors unit performance, partners with nurse managers, supports corrective action, and develops record-keeping systems for medication errors and counseling.
Responsibilities
- Plan and develop programs to improve patient care and employee performance.
- Monitor patient-care performance across pediatric units.
- Assess unit operations in collaboration with nurse managers.
- Communicate and assist with corrective action as needed.
- Oversee NICU, Mother-Baby, PICU, General Pediatrics, and other pediatric specialty units.
- Develop record-keeping systems for medication errors and counseling.
Required Qualifications
- At least five years of experience in pediatric nursing supervision.
- Registered Nurse license.
- New York State RN license verification through the New York State Education Department (NYSED).
- BLS Certification.
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an accredited nursing program.
Preferred Qualifications
- Pediatric Nursing experience.
- Nursing Supervision experience.
- Master’s degree in Nursing.
- Experience in Labor and Delivery, Mother-Baby, or inpatient Pediatrics.
