What are the responsibilities and job description for the RN Supervisor - Lead Trauma position at RSC Healthcare Staffing?
As the RN Supervisor - Lead Trauma, you will report to the Director of Nursing and help lead patient care and employee performance initiatives in a Level I and Level II trauma center environment. This temp-to-hire role focuses on developing improvement programs, monitoring unit performance, supporting nurse managers, and strengthening medication-error and counseling record-keeping systems.
Responsibilities
- Plan and develop programs to improve patient care and employee performance.
- Monitor patient-care performance across assigned units.
- Assess unit operations in partnership with nurse managers.
- Communicate and assist with corrective action as needed.
- Develop record-keeping systems for medication errors and counseling.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an accredited nursing program.
- Seven years of nursing experience, including five years in a supervisory role.
- Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Primary Source Verification of RN license and registration from the New York State Department of Education (NYSED).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Nursing.
- Seven or more years of nursing leadership experience.
