Job Summary
The Sales Coordinator supports the sales, purchasing, and project management teams by managing customer inquiries, preparing quotes, maintaining order documentation, and ensuring smooth communication between internal departments and clients. This role is essential to keeping projects organized and helping the sales team successfully win and execute orders.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a primary point of contact for customer inquiries, RFQs, and order status updates.
- Review customer specifications, drawings, and panel requirements to support accurate quoting.
- Prepare and issue quotations, proposals, and pricing sheets under guidance from sales team.
- Track open quotes, send follow‑ups, and update customers on progress.
- Enter sales orders, change orders, and revisions into ERP.
- Verify that customer PO details match approved quotations (pricing, lead time, scope).
- Maintain accurate records of quotes, orders, drawings, and communications.
- Coordinate the release of jobs with Project Managers and Production Supervisor.
- Communicate project details, deadlines, and requirements to Project Managers and Production Supervisor.
- Schedule internal meetings or technical reviews as needed. Follow up on material availability, build progress, and delivery schedules in coordination with the purchasing team.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Experience in electrical manufacturing or industrial automation preferred.
- Ability to read or interpret basic electrical drawings, panel layouts, or bill of materials.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills in a fast‑paced, project‑driven environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for customer interaction.
- Proficiency with NetSuite or other ERP
- Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).
- High attention to detail with strong follow‑through.
- Familiarity with UL 508A control panel standards.
- Understanding of VFDs, PLCs, motor controls, and electrical components is a plus.
- Prior experience supporting sales or project management in a manufacturing environment.
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8am – 4:30pm, with occasional overtime per business needs. This is strictly an on-site position.
Salary to commensurate with experience.
