Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join our growing accounting team. The ideal candidate will have experience with full-cycle accounting, month-end close, account reconciliations, and financial reporting. This position offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative environment while supporting the day-to-day accounting operations of the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform month-end and year-end close activities.
- Prepare and post journal entries.
- Reconcile general ledger accounts, bank accounts, and balance sheet accounts.
- Assist with the preparation of monthly financial statements and management reports.
- Maintain the general ledger and ensure the accuracy of financial records.
- Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed.
- Prepare account analyses and assist with variance analysis.
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and GAAP.
- Support internal and external audits by preparing requested documentation.
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and internal controls.
- Perform other accounting and finance-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 2–5 years of accounting experience.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting principles.
- Experience with month-end close and general ledger accounting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP.
- Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, Sage, or similar is preferred.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in real estate, construction, manufacturing, distribution, or professional services is a plus.
- CPA or CPA-track candidates are encouraged to apply.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
