Payroll Specialist | Miami, FL | Bilingual (English/Spanish)
We're partnering with a well-established organization to hire a Payroll Specialist who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has experience processing high-volume, multi-state payrolls. What You'll Do:
- Process multi-state payroll accurately and on time for 200 employees.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations.
- Process garnishments, child support, tax levies, and other payroll deductions.
- Troubleshoot payroll system issues and coordinate with vendors when needed.
- Maintain PTO accruals and payroll records.
- Prepare payroll-related reports, including headcount, PTO balances, and new hire/termination reports.
- Assist with payroll audits and ensure payroll data integrity.
- Support payroll process improvements and maintain payroll procedures and documentation.
- Partner with HR and internal departments to resolve payroll-related questions.
What We're Looking For:
- Associate's degree in Business, Human Resources, Finance, or a related field plus 2 years of payroll experience, OR 3 years of experience processing full-cycle, multi-state payroll for 200 employees.
- Strong knowledge of payroll laws and regulations.
- Experience handling garnishments, child support, and tax levies.
- Advanced Excel skills, including:
- VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP
- IF statements
- Pivot Tables
- COUNTIF/COUNTIFS
- Conditional Formatting
- Highly analytical with exceptional attention to detail.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish (required).
Preferred:
- Experience with ADP or UKG payroll systems.
