The Senior Accountant I is responsible for supporting the accounting and financial reporting of assigned homeowner and condominium associations. This role requires strong knowledge of accrual-based accounting, attention to detail, and the ability to meet strict deadlines while maintaining a professional and responsive approach.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly financial packages, including balance sheet, income statement, and bank reconciliations
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts and maintain supporting schedules
- Monitor cash activity and assist with transfers and payables as needed
- Respond to internal teams and board members within 24 hours
- Analyze financials to ensure accuracy and compliance with accrual accounting
- Support annual audit processes and budget preparation
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
- 3–5 years of accounting experience
- Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
Additional Details:
- Standard hours: 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM (extended hours as needed)
- Reports to Director of Association Finance
