Accounting Manager

Qualifications & Expertise

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
• At least 5 years of experience in accounting or finance within a mid-to-large sized organization
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards and GAAP principles
• Experience with modern accounting/ERP systems (cloud-based platforms preferred)
• Proven ability to perform budget-to-actual analysis and provide actionable financial insights
• Prior experience overseeing accounting operations, including hands-on involvement in the month-end close process
• Experience collaborating with senior leadership on budgeting and financial planning initiatives
• Background supporting external audits and coordinating audit-related deliverables
• Hands-on experience managing full-cycle payroll processes, including payment processing and related controls

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain financial processes, policies, and internal controls to ensure accuracy and compliance
• Lead the monthly close process within established deadlines
• Analyze financial performance, identify variances, and recommend improvements
• Ensure proper application of accounting standards within the general ledger and financial reporting
• Support cash management strategies and optimize use of financial resources
• Partner with leadership to support decision-making through accurate financial reporting and analysis
• Coordinate audit activities and provide required documentation to external parties
• Continuously evaluate and improve accounting processes to enhance efficiency and reduce risk
