A 13-week travel Pharmacist opportunity is available at a large 500-bed hospital in Cincinnati, with potential for extension. This role offers an engaging setting in a respected hospital environment utilizing EPIC EMR. The position features evening shifts, with options of 4x10 or 5x8 schedules. Training will be conducted during daytime hours.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee sterile compounding processes including verification and quality checks
- Conduct order verification and dose medication review ensuring accuracy and patient safety
- Manage and check sterile products and Pyxis inventory
- Collaborate directly with healthcare providers by fielding clinical questions from patients and doctors
- Support IV room operations including working with complex therapies such as ECMO and CRRT
- Participate in clinical consults, assisting with antibiotic dosing and other pharmaceutical care decisions
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid Ohio Pharmacist license
- Minimum of 3 years’ hospital pharmacy experience, specifically in large academic medical centers
- Proficiency with EPIC electronic medical record system
- Knowledge of sterile compounding and verification procedures
- Experience with critical care therapies including ECMO and CRRT
- Strong clinical judgment in antibiotic dosing and consultative pharmacy
Location: Cincinnati, OH
