Responsibilities include:
- Verifying medication orders accurately and efficiently
- Supervising pharmacy technicians to ensure smooth operations
- Consulting with physicians and nurses to optimize patient medication therapy
- Managing pharmacokinetics and therapeutic drug monitoring
- Utilizing hospital IT systems such as Meditech, Vigilanz, Dose Edge, and Pyxis for medication management and documentation
Preferred Qualifications:
- Valid Virginia pharmacist license
- Previous hospital pharmacy experience, especially in trauma or acute care settings
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to effectively interact with healthcare teams
- Familiarity with hospital IT platforms and automated dispensing systems
Schedule Options:
- 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM
- 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
- 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM
- 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM
