Staff Pharmacist in Strasburg, CO

This direct hire opportunity calls for an experienced Pharmacist to provide leadership as Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) within a busy community pharmacy. Situated in Strasburg, CO, the role operates Monday through Friday, 9am-6pm, and Saturdays, 9am-3pm, with Sundays off.

The role is essential in ensuring prescription accuracy, regulatory compliance, and delivering exceptional patient care. The Pharmacist will oversee pharmacy operations, supervise pharmacy support staff, and engage directly with patients and prescribers. Candidates must thrive in a high-volume environment that balances precision, communication, and regulatory adherence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Interpret and verify prescription orders, clarifying any discrepancies with healthcare providers.
• Conduct Drug Utilization Reviews to ensure safe medication practices.
• Supervise and support Pharmacy Technicians, Representatives, and Support Specialists.
• Counsel patients on medication use, interactions, side effects, and storage.
• Manage prescription fulfillment and ensure compliance with applicable state and federal regulations.
• Support shipping, delivery, and medication procurement processes.
• Utilize pharmacy automation and technologies within daily production workflows.
• Assist with prescription transfers and serve as backup Pharmacist in Charge, maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Maintain productivity expectations while managing multiple tasks efficiently.

Required Qualifications:

• PharmD degree from an accredited pharmacy school.
• Active pharmacist license in the state of employment.
• Minimum of 1 year pharmacy experience preferred.
• Experience in retail pharmacy or insurance/healthcare settings is a plus.
• Solid knowledge of standard pharmacy dispensing procedures.
