A well-established independent pharmacy is seeking a licensed Pharmacist to provide maternity leave coverage through the end of November. This role is ideal for a pharmacist who values a traditional retail pharmacy setting and enjoys working closely with a tight-knit, family-owned team.
Location:
- Phillips, WI (Lakeview Pharmacy, 114 N Lake Ave)
- System: PioneerRx
Schedule:
- Monday through Friday
- Rotating Saturdays required, with an additional day off during that week for Saturday shifts
- Pharmacy closed on Thanksgiving Day
- Schedule may fluctuate depending on PRN pharmacist availability
- Training days may be available prior to start date if timing permits
Responsibilities:
- Perform prescription verification and ensure accuracy in dispensing
- Provide patient counseling and answer medication-related questions
- Oversee workflow to maintain efficient pharmacy operations
- Administer immunizations and vaccines as needed
- Collaborate with two pharmacy technicians in a primarily solo pharmacist environment
Desired Experience:
- Active pharmacy license and credentials to practice in Wisconsin
- Experience with PioneerRx system preferred
- Proven ability to work independently while maintaining strong communication with pharmacy staff
- Comfortable working in a traditional retail pharmacy setting with a family-run atmosphere
- Immunization certification or relevant experience a plus
