Step into a vital role as a Day Shift Production Pharmacy Technician at a closed-door Long-Term Care (LTC) facility in Bardonia, New York. This direct hire opportunity focuses on accuracy, efficiency, and compassionate care, supporting the health and well-being of residents by preparing and managing their medication needs.
Location: Bardonia, NY
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- Rotating weekends
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare medications in appropriate packaging such as blister packs and unit-dose to ensure timely delivery to residents
- Assist with ordering, receiving, and stocking medications while ensuring proper storage and close monitoring of expiration dates
- Maintain accurate patient and medication records with close attention to detail
- Utilize pharmacy software (Frameworks) with training provided to streamline daily operations
Desired Experience & Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year of pharmacy technician experience
- NY State Pharmacy Technician License is preferred but not required
- PTCB certification is preferred but not required
- Ability to work responsibly in a fast-paced environment managing approximately 600 prescriptions daily
Compensation:
- Starting pay of $18/hour for non-certified technicians
- $19-$20/hour for certified technicians
