A specialty compounding pharmacy in the Kennett Square, PA area is seeking a knowledgeable Sterile Compounding Pharmacist for a 13-week contract to hire assignment. This role focuses on preparing and verifying compounded sterile and non-sterile medications while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and company protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
- Verify accuracy of compounded sterile and non-sterile preparations based on master formula worksheets.
- Adhere to and implement SOPs and policies to ensure patient safety and regulatory compliance.
- Maintain compliance with USP standards and other applicable guidelines for sterile compounding.
- Enforce cleaning and garbing policies in production areas.
- Perform necessary calculations and complete all required documentation meticulously.
- Operate production and computerized equipment precisely, following approved procedures.
- Apply correct aseptic techniques to maintain medication quality and safety.
- Prepare and sanitize workspaces prior to compounding activities.
- Conduct quality control tests and inspections to ensure compounded medication potency and purity.
- Stay current with emerging compounding technologies and best practices.
- Participate in ongoing professional development related to sterile compounding.
Qualifications:
- Licensed Pharmacist in Pennsylvania.
- Recent pharmacy experience with a strong emphasis on sterile compounding.
- Skillful in RX clinical pharmacy and sterile compounding practices.
- Recent graduates with compounding training are encouraged to apply.
Schedule Options:
- Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM or 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM
