This full-time Clinical Pharmacist position offers a temporary opportunity on a short-term contract from March 13th through April 12th, with the possibility of extension. The role is based onsite in Enfield, Connecticut, requiring an active, unrestricted Connecticut Pharmacist license. The schedule follows standard business hours, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM EST.Responsibilities:Review and verify prescriptions for accuracy, appropriateness, and regulatory complianceMonitor specialty drug therapies and recommend clinical interventions as neededProvide comprehensive counseling to patients on specialty medicationsSupervise pharmacy technician activities and ensure proper documentationEnsure adherence to state and federal regulations, including State Board of Pharmacy, FDA, DEA, HIPAA, ACHC, URAC, and OSHA standardsCollaborate across departments such as Intake, Reimbursement, Quality, Nursing, and other Pharmacy teams to support patient careManage prescription fulfillment, referral coordination, and patient onboarding processesParticipate in on-call rotations as necessaryMaintain licensure, certifications, and continuing education requirementsRequired Qualifications:Bachelor of Science or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from an ACPE-accredited institutionActive, unrestricted Connecticut Pharmacist licenseStrong understanding of specialty therapies and patient qualification processesProficiency with Microsoft Office applicationsPreferred Qualifications:Three or more years of experience in Specialty, Infusion, Hospital, Retail, or Mail-Order Pharmacy settingsExperience collaborating with pharmacy technicians and clinical teamsFamiliarity with specialty payer contracts and operational requirementsExperience with CareTend software preferredCertification in Good Clinical Practice (GCP) highly regardedThis role demands strong clinical judgment, regulatory expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to effectively communicate and lead within a multidisciplinary team.
