Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1 years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.This opportunity seeks a knowledgeable pharmacist with experience in both retail and long-term care environments to provide exceptional pharmaceutical services. The role offers a blend of retail and long-term care settings, utilizing computer systems such as Liberty for retail and Frameworks for LTC, delivering a dynamic work environment.Responsibilities:Dispense medications accurately and efficiently in retail and long-term care settings.Utilize retail (Liberty) and LTC (Frameworks) computer systems for processing prescriptions and maintaining records.Counsel patients and residents on proper medication use, side effects, and potential interactions.Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize patient therapy and ensure compliance with regulations.Participate in weekend rotation approximately every fourth week, maintaining consistent patient care.Qualifications / Desired Experience:Valid Connecticut pharmacy license is required.Proven retail pharmacy experience.Long-term care pharmacy experience is highly preferred.Ability to work effectively both independently and within an interdisciplinary team.Strong communication and organizational skills.Schedule:Monday through Friday, alternating shifts between:8:30 AM 5:00 PM, and8:30 AM 7:00 PMSaturday 8:00 AM 5:00 PM.Sunday 8:00 AM 1:00 PM.Weekend rotation every 4th week.Average 24 to 30 hours per week.This contract-to-hire position provides an excellent pathway to permanent employment for a pharmacist skilled in both retail and long-term care pharmacy practice.
