A specialty pharmacy in Cordova, TN is seeking a dedicated Staff Pharmacist for a contract-to-hire position starting ASAP. This role focuses on delivering clinical pharmaceutical care to patients managing complex conditions such as hemophilia, immune deficiencies, and autoimmune disorders. The pharmacy operates with very low volume, allowing for detailed patient interaction and personalized care.
Responsibilities include:
- Providing comprehensive clinical management of infused drug therapies including factor replacement therapies, emicizumab, and various subcutaneous and IV infusions.
- Educating patients and families on drug administration, side effect management, adherence strategies, and safe medication handling at home.
- Collaborating closely with physicians, nurses, and care coordinators to ensure coordinated patient care.
- Working alongside reimbursement specialists to handle insurance plan navigation, prior authorizations, and financial assistance programs.
Required Qualifications:
- Valid Tennessee pharmacist license.
- Experience with CareTend software preferred, though training will be provided.
- Willingness to obtain additional state licenses if applicable.
Schedule:
- Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
