The position provides a structured schedule with weekday shifts primarily from 8am/10am to 5pm/7pm, with occasional weekend hours. There are two distinct roles available: one requiring sterile compounding experience and another focused on patient refill activities without compounding duties.Key Responsibilities:Prepare sterile compounded intravenous (IV) medications under the direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist (for the sterile compounding position).Accurately fill prescriptions and assist in the final checking and packaging of medications.Collaborate with the Billing Supervisor to enter data for prescription fulfillment and reimbursement processing.Support Pharmacy Management with inventory control activities such as receiving supplies, rotating stock, recording lot numbers and expiration dates, and assisting in physical inventory counts.Maintain a clean and safe work environment by checking equipment calibration, safety, and cleanliness in coordination with the Technician Supervisor.Qualifications and Experience:Active NY Pharmacy Technician license is required.National Pharmacy Technician Certification.Pharmacy Technician experience is mandatory.Sterile compounding experience is preferred for one of the positions.Ability to work under pharmacist supervision while maintaining accuracy and compliance with government regulations.Schedule:Monday to Friday, with shifts starting between 8am and 10am and ending between 5pm and 7pm.Possible weekend shifts.This 9-week contract assignment offers the potential to transition to a direct-hire role, providing a chance to grow within a supportive home infusion pharmacy setting.
