What are the responsibilities and job description for the Front Desk Receptionist position at Roylo Partners?
Front Desk Receptionist
Brownsville, TX | On-site | Full-time
Monday to Friday | $16 to $19 per hour
A warm welcome, a clear answer and an accurate message can make someone’s visit much easier. We’re hiring a Front Desk Receptionist in Brownsville who takes pride in providing that kind of experience.
You’ll be the first point of contact for visitors and callers, helping them connect with the right person while keeping reception organized. We’re looking for someone approachable and dependable who can give people their attention while staying aware of appointments, messages and activity around the desk.
Reception experience is useful, although candidates from hospitality, retail, customer support and other public-facing roles are also welcome.
Your approach makes a difference
You should be comfortable greeting unfamiliar people, speaking clearly over the phone and writing accurate messages. When several requests arrive together, you’ll need to remain courteous, identify what needs attention first and keep others informed.
Basic computer confidence is important. You’ll use email, calendars and appointment records, with training on the systems and procedures involved.
We value someone who asks for clarification when needed, protects private information and follows a request through to the appropriate colleague.
At the front desk
Your responsibilities will include:
- Welcome visitors, confirm appointments and notify the relevant team member.
- Answer incoming calls, transfer inquiries and take complete messages.
- Help schedule appointments and communicate changes or delays.
- Maintain visitor records and follow established check-in procedures.
- Receive mail and deliveries, making sure they reach the correct person.
- Keep the reception area and meeting spaces presentable and ready for use.
You’ll also provide straightforward information about visiting arrangements and direct more detailed questions to the appropriate colleague.
The role calls for careful handovers. Whether you are passing on a callback request or updating someone about an arrival, the next person should have enough information to act.
What you can expect
- Paid onboarding: Learn reception procedures, phone systems and appointment tools.
- Predictable working days: A regular weekday schedule based at the Brownsville office.
- Team support: Clear guidance on who handles different inquiries and when to ask for assistance.
- Professional development: Build experience in visitor coordination, scheduling and office communication.
Spanish and English are helpful, but not required.
No specialized industry knowledge is needed to apply. Bring a professional manner, attention to detail and the ability to make people feel acknowledged.
Applicants should be available for full-time, on-site work in Brownsville.
