Key Responsibilities
- Sorting & Washing: Sort soiled linen, towels, uniforms, and F&B linens by type, color, and soil level before loading into industrial washers
- Drying: Operate commercial washing and drying machines using correct settings and chemical dosing; inspect clean items for stains, damage, or wear
- Stain & Damage Management: Apply appropriate stain removal procedures; report damages for asset disposal
- Folding & Distribution: Fold and stack clean linen according to policy, load onto carts or shelves, and deliver to housekeeping floors or storage areas
- Maintenance Reporting: Report equipment or mechanical issues to management promptly.
- Work Area & Safety: Keep the laundry room clean, organized, and safe; follow all safety and hygiene policies
Qualifications & Skills
- Education: High school diploma or GED preferred
- Experience: Prior laundry or housekeeping experience is a plus
- Skills: Knowledge of laundry machinery operation; ability to stand for long periods; physical ability to lift up to 25 lbs.; teamwork and communication skills
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift, carry, and move laundry items; work in a fast-paced environment; operate industrial equipment safely
