What are the responsibilities and job description for the Purchasing Associate position at ROWLEYS WHOLESALE?
This position is responsible for inventory management, product purchasing/sourcing, pricing files, and vendor maintenance.
Responsibilities
· Manage replenishment of inventory for bulk and packaged products from vendors and internal kits, ensuring product availability, cost management, on time delivery, and accuracy
· Negotiate contracts for prices, terms, and promotions with vendors
· Work and communicate internally with a cross functional team of warehouse, accounting, customer service, marketing and sales to ensure shipments are accurate and on time for both products and pricing
· Manage load deliveries as needed with internal logistics, 3rd party carriers, and rail
· Manage and build relationships with vendors to understand products and cost, and how they fit within our portfolio of products
· Actively work with customer service and sales to understand needs from customers and how to best deliver at the lowest cost
· Maintain pricing and product sheets for vendors
· Maintain pricing and products for our monthly catalog and other internal/external documentation
· Follow market trends and general business activities
· Actively seek out new products and vendors for our business

Hours
This is a full time, on-site hourly position, Monday through Friday from 8AM to 5PM.
