Duties
- Conduct regular inspections of building systems including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical components to identify issues early and prevent costly breakdowns.
- Perform repairs and maintenance tasks such as welding, residential painting, and troubleshooting electrical circuits using schematics and technical manuals.
- Operate tools and equipment including programmable logic controllers (PLCs), ohmmeters, and other diagnostic devices to ensure proper functioning of machinery.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to track work orders, parts inventory, and service history.
- Assist with supervising maintenance projects or team members when needed, providing guidance on safety procedures and best practices.
- Support facilities upkeep by managing cleaning, landscaping, and general repair tasks to uphold a safe and welcoming environment.
- Collaborate with other departments to address customer service requests related to facility issues promptly and professionally.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with electrical experience to diagnose and resolve complex system problems efficiently.
- Ability to read schematics, technical manuals, and blueprints for troubleshooting electrical circuits or mechanical systems.
- Experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) used in manufacturing or building automation systems.
- Skilled in welding techniques suitable for repair or fabrication tasks requiring durability and precision.
- Proficiency in residential painting techniques for aesthetic improvements around the facility.
- Familiarity with CMMS software for scheduling maintenance tasks, recording work orders, and managing inventory.
- Excellent customer service skills to effectively communicate with team members and external vendors.
- Supervising experience is preferred for leadership roles involving team coordination or project oversight.
- Knowledge of facilities maintenance best practices within manufacturing or residential environments.
- Ability to interpret schematics and technical diagrams accurately using tools such as ohmmeters or multimeters.
- Fluency in English for clear communication across all levels of the organization.
