Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Golf Course Grounds Keeper to maintain our golf course. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the grounds are safe and well-maintained to provide an exceptional experience for players. Your work will involve a variety of groundskeeping tasks, including landscape maintenance, and equipment operation, all performed with precision and care. Responsibilities
- Maintain the golf course’s turf, fairways, greens, and surrounding landscapes through mowing.
- Operate groundskeeping equipment such as mowers, blowers, weedeaters, and other landscaping machinery.
- Perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting, raking, and pruning to support landscape aesthetics.
- Use hand tools while adhering to all safety standards related to power tool operation and maintenance.
- Operate company vehicles for transporting equipment or supplies around the course while maintaining proper safety procedures.
- Support seasonal landscaping projects and general maintenance activities to enhance the course’s visual appeal.
Skills
- Knowledge of landscape maintenance and lawn care.
- Proficiency with grounds maintenance equipment operation including mowers, power tools, and specialized landscaping machinery.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting with proper technique to prevent injury.
- Excellent attention to detail in turf care, landscaping design, and overall course presentation.
- Good communication skills for teamwork and reporting maintenance issues effectively.
- Valid driver’s license with experience operating company vehicles safely.
- Knowledge of power tool safety standards and routine equipment maintenance practices.
