Round-Peg Solutions has been retained by Palomar Products, a well-established aerospace and defence manufacturer and part of TransDigm Group, a leading global aerospace organisation. Palomar designs and manufactures highly engineered components for some of the world's most demanding defence applications and is seeking a Cost Price Analyst II to support proposal development, cost modelling and pricing activities across its growing portfolio of programmes.
Working closely with Contracts, Program Management, Engineering, Purchasing and Finance, you'll develop accurate cost estimates, support customer negotiations, and ensure proposals are fully compliant with US Government regulations while remaining commercially competitive.
As the Cost Price Analyst II, your responsibilities will include:
- Developing detailed cost estimates and pricing models in response to customer RFPs and RFQs.
- Collaborating with Engineering, Program Management, Purchasing and Finance to develop accurate Basis of Estimates (BOEs).
- Ensuring proposal packages comply with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), and Truthful Cost or Pricing Data (TINA) requirements.
- Supporting customer negotiations, proposal fact-finding activities, and DCMA/DCAA audits.
- Analysing historical cost data and preparing pricing documentation to support compliant, competitive proposal submissions.
- Maintaining detailed cost models and identifying opportunities to improve estimating accuracy and proposal quality.
- Supporting the preparation of pricing narratives, negotiation documentation and internal approvals.
As Cost Price Analyst II you'll bring:
- Previous experience in Cost & Price Analysis, Cost Estimating, Proposal Pricing or Government Finance within the aerospace, defence or government contracting sectors.
- Strong knowledge of FAR, CAS, TINA/Truthful Cost or Pricing Data requirements, and government proposal compliance.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with experience developing and validating detailed cost models.
- Excellent analytical, organisational and communication skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- A Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
- The ability to obtain and maintain any required US Government authorisations.
