The responsibilities of the Project Engineering Manager opportunity are:
- Serve as the primary point of contact with external automation and tooling partners, engineering suppliers.
- Manage end-to-end project execution from concept through commissioning for new automation solutions.
- Coordinate design reviews with vendors and internal stakeholders; ensure all tooling and equipment meet operational and safety standards.
- Establish and maintain detailed project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
- Track all milestones and proactively address risks or deviations.
- Ensure all project activities support "factory of the future" goals
- Support the design and deployment of advanced manufacturing technologies such as automation, robotics, data analytics, and MES integration.
The skills/experience required for the Project Engineering Manager role are:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing or Industrial Management
- 5 years of project management experience in manufacturing, industrial automation, or engineering environments.
- Proven history of successful delivery of automation upgrade projects (semi-automated, robotics, full-automation to "factory of the future" standards.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing systems, automation technologies, and lean principles.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency with project management tools and digital collaboration platforms.
- Ability to work on-site in Washington and travel nationally/internationally as needed.
