We are seeking an experienced and adaptable Manager or Senior Manager to lead the Crane, Redemption, and Promotion teams within our Amusement Department. This role is ideal for a flexible, hands-on leader who thrives in a dynamic environment and can manage operations, data, and people effectively. You will work closely with the Director of Amusement Planning to implement strategic initiatives, manage vendor relationships, and ensure smooth execution of day-to-day operations. A strong focus on compliance, data analysis, team leadership, and cross-functional collaboration is critical to success in this position.
Key Responsibilities
Departmental Oversight
- Manage daily operations of the Crane, Redemption, and Promotion teams to ensure alignment with business goals.
- Translate high-level strategic objectives into actionable team initiatives and workflows.
- Track and manage project deliverables, timelines, and team accountability.
- Build team engagement through performance reviews, time management oversight, and team-building efforts.
- Manage and oversee staffing-related responsibilities including attendance tracking, performance evaluations, and personnel development.
Crane, Redemption & Promotion Management
- Oversee product planning, procurement, pricing, and rollout for crane and redemption operations.
- Analyze sales performance and generate reports to guide buying decisions and promotions.
- Manage payouts and COGS tracking for crane and redemption programs.
- Ensure all procurement and operational activities comply with internal rules and audit requirements.
- Oversee item implementation at store level, ensuring secured products are properly distributed, installed, and utilized.
- Ensure compliance with all auditing standards and respond to both internal and external audit processes.
- Manage inventory tracking and store-level oversight to ensure consistent data and control practices.
- Guide promotional projects involving licensed properties to successful execution and coordination.
Cross-Functional & Strategic Collaboration
- Lead or support cross-department initiatives with stakeholders in logistics, operations, finance, and planning.
- Identify operational inefficiencies and implement solutions that align with company goals.
- Ensure that forecasting, procurement data, order adjustments, and budgeting processes are accurate and regularly updated.
- Serve as a communication bridge between the procurement team and other departments to ensure cohesive execution.
Vendor & Industry Engagement
- Maintain strong relationships with vendors, particularly Japanese partners, handling all negotiations and communications in professional-level Japanese and English.
- Ensure clear expectations and follow-through on orders, pricing, and timelines.
- Stay informed on trends in Japanese entertainment and consumer goods to guide product selection and collaboration planning.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 5 years of management experience in procurement, operations, or a related field.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in sales analysis, budgeting, and reporting.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, v-lookups, formulas, data modeling).
- Demonstrated experience managing personnel, including scheduling, performance reviews, and team development.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking capabilities.
- Fluent in Japanese and English, both verbal and written, with the ability to conduct professional communications and negotiations.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a collaborative, flexible mindset.
- Experience working cross-functionally with senior leadership and multiple departments.
- Understanding of corporate compliance and auditing requirements.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in the amusement, retail, or entertainment sectors.
- Familiarity with COGS tracking, vendor management systems, and inventory control platforms.
- Knowledge of pop culture, anime, and entertainment merchandise trends.
- Experience leading projects across multiple stakeholders or locations.
