Painter - 2nd Shift

Join the team at Rotochopper! We’re seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Painter on our second shift. This position plays a key role in preparing and painting parts to meet quality standards.

Hours: 4:00pm – 2:30am, Monday – Thursday

            OFF, Friday

            PLUS $2.00 shift premium        

** Overtime may be required based on production needs. Flexibility to work additional hours when necessary is expected.

Responsibilities

• Perform prep work including cleaning, sanding, masking, and surface inspection
• Mix and apply coatings using spray guns and other painting equipment
• Paint components with precision and consistency
• Maintain clean and organized paint booth and prep areas
• Inspect finished parts for quality, coverage, and proper finish
• Minimize waste of materials and time while maintaining high quality levels.
• Follow all safety guidelines, company policies, and quality standards.

qualifications

• Previous experience in industrial or automotive painting preferred
• Familiarity with spray painting equipment and proper paint prep techniques
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work
• Good communication skills, ability to work with little supervision, and ability to work in a team environment.
• Must be present on the job to safely perform the assigned duties.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to lift, push, pull or move up to 50 pounds.
• Be able to bend, stoop, and reach. Employee will go extended periods of time standing and performing repetitive tasks.
• The employee will also be required to stand; walk; use hand dexterity; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance, talk and hear.
• Work conditions include industrial environment with moving equipment, manufacturing machines, and welders, along with overhead cranes.
