Rothe is seeking a summer intern working as a Video Media Clerk to support duties that include but are not limited to: Support additional camera positions for research missions and testing documentation, assist with various video editing projects, and reduce the backlog of archival work, including preparing and logging legacy tapes for digitization and supporting data cleanup and ingestion to the Dalet MAM system. You will gain meaningful hands‑on experience across the full production workflow; capture, editing, approval processes, archiving, metadata, and asset management, while providing essential mission support during a high‑tempo flight period.
This work is for the Armstrong Imagery Acquisition Group in support of the NASA Enterprise Multimedia and Integrated Technical Services (eMITS) contract at the Armstrong Flight and Research Center in Edwards, California. eMITS is the Agency’s enterprise-level contract creating and delivering multimedia and technical communications using the internet, digital platforms, and IT management for NASA’s Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) and Office of Communications (OCOMM). From photographing rocket launches and recoveries, to producing engaging videos, to information technology management, to using social media to share NASA’s message, eMITS integrates services for NASA IT and provides NASA’s communication to the outside world. SALARY RANGE: $31,000 - $36,000

Knowledge and comfort with Excel and other Microsoft tools such as Outlook & Teams is a must as well as the ability to work solo much of the time and be a self-starter. Attention to detail, critical thinking, and a willingness to ask questions are all necessary for success in this project.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Is a U.S. citizen
- Are 18 years old
- Is enrolled in college full or part time
- Have coursework or skills in video, media, graphics, communications, design, or related fields
- Can demonstrate video production or editing experience through class projects, personal work, or previous internships
