Business Office Intern

Salary: $17.00 - $20.00 an hour

Rothe is seeking an Intern Clerk to provide general support to the eMITS Business Office support of the NASA Enterprise Multimedia and Integrated Technical Services (eMITS) contract. eMITS is the Agency’s enterprise-level contract creating and delivering multimedia and technical communications through the use of the internet, digital platforms, and IT management for NASA’s Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) and Office of Communications (OCOMM). From photographing rocket launches and recoveries, to producing engaging videos, to information technology management, to using social media to share NASA’s message, eMITS integrates services for NASA IT and provides NASA’s communication to the outside world. JOB DESCRIPTION:

Essential Functions

• Support all areas of the Business Management Office and learn the financial, procurement and property processes.
• Support Rothe Corporate business development processes
• Develops, reviews, analyzes and maintains financial reports and records
• Prepares monthly financial reporting and metrics, both internal and external for co-workers
• Work closely with personnel and prepare purchase requests in compliance with company and contract guidelines and requirements.
• Monitor and provide status on purchase requests in the various tools and assist the procurement office with purchase order documentation, as needed.
• Performs property control systems reviews of contract and Government property to ensure personal property is controlled, maintained, utilized, reported, and disposed in accordance with contract requirements.
• Establish and maintain effective communication within the department
• Maintain the purchasing, receiving and property records in a highly organized and efficient manner and ensure all filing is up to date.
• Maintain effective communication and cross-train within the department to serve as backup to others when assigned.
  
  
  

EDUCATION:

HS, College or recent graduate with some work experience.

Attention to details with strong organizational skills.

Minimum Requirements:

Experience in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams)
