Senior Field Service Technician

Role Overview: The Senior Field Service Technician performs hands-on service activities on critical power systems, including startup, testing, and commissioning of low- and medium-voltage switchgear and automatic transfer switches.

Responsibilities:

• Develop maintenance programs and execute site assessments, installation, commissioning, and ongoing maintenance of power distribution and automation systems.
• Lead complex system upgrades, troubleshoot equipment issues, and ensure installation quality and safety compliance.
• Collaborate with teams and stakeholders, build customer relationships, and deliver technical support and training.
• Accurately document work and support technical troubleshooting through the call desk.
• Adhere to safety standards and review engineering drawings for accuracy.
  
  

Qualifications & Skills:

• 10 years of experience in electrical maintenance, installation, testing, and repair of power distribution equipment.
• Proficiency in reading electrical schematics, using test equipment, and working with control systems.
• Strong knowledge of safety standards (CSA, NFPA, UL) and electrical codes.
• Excellent customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to travel extensively.
• Preferred certifications include NETA/NICET, OSHA 30, NFPA 70E, with advanced knowledge of industrial electrical systems and control relays.
