Part Time - Deli/Bakery Lead

Role Overview: This position leads daily retail store department operations in the absence of the department manager, ensuring staff training, staffing levels, and adherence to company standards to meet performance goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Order, maintain, and control inventory to ensure product freshness, quality, and minimize loss.
• Validate received orders for quality and accuracy; manage product storage and rotation.
• Supervise team tasks including stocking, production, and quality assurance.
• Stay informed about store products, promotions, and sales programs.
• Implement weekly plans, manage scheduling, and support labor and payroll control.
• Assist in staffing, training, performance management, and developing department goals.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and attractive department environment, following food safety and safety guidelines.
• Participate in meetings, support company initiatives, and adapt tasks across departments as needed.
  
  

Qualifications & Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent; retail experience preferred.
• Strong communication, organization, decision-making, and leadership skills.
• Knowledge of retail operations, management systems, and suggestive selling.
• Proficiency in MS Office; bilingual skills (English/Spanish) desirable.
  
  

Physical & Environment Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand and walk for extended periods, and work in varied temperatures within a retail environment.
