Role Overview: The Production Home Assembler is responsible for accurately and efficiently assembling building components and homes on a factory assembly line, following work orders and instructions.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and equipment such as saws, routers, nail guns, drills, etc., for measuring, cutting, fastening, and drilling.
- Build floors, walls, and roof structures, including framing, decking, flashing, and shingling.
- Install electrical systems, including lines, switches, and panels.
- Prepare surfaces with tape, mud, and texture; install siding, windows, doors, cabinets, and trim.
- Paint interior and exterior surfaces.
- Collaborate with team members, adhere to safety standards, and perform additional tasks as assigned.
- Must be at least 18 years old, legally authorized to work, with basic reading, writing, and speaking skills in English.
- High school diploma preferred.
- Ability to read tape measures, understand blueprints, and use basic tools.
- Attention to detail, multi-tasking ability, troubleshooting skills, and effective communication.
- Exposure to outdoor elements, noise, and heat/cold. Use of protective gear required.
- Physical activities include walking, lifting (up to 50 lbs), pushing, pulling, and climbing.
- Regular communication and safe operation around construction equipment are necessary.
