Part-Time Lead Sales Associate

Role Summary

This position involves functioning as a Cashier and/or Stocker, with leadership responsibilities in the absence of the Store Manager or Assistant Manager. Key duties include unloading trucks, stocking merchandise, maintaining plan-o-grams, assisting customers, operating cash registers, and ensuring a clean, organized, and safe store environment. The role also requires providing exceptional customer service, supporting store operations, and adhering to company policies to maximize profitability and security.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks and stock shelves, rotate merchandise, and build displays.
• Assist customers in locating items and maintain store cleanliness.
• Operate cash register, handle transactions, and manage register accountability.
• Support plan-o-gram implementation, monitor safety and security, and assist with opening/closing the store.
• In the absence of management, authorize refunds, oversee cash handling, and complete necessary documentation.
  
  

Qualifications & Skills

• Ability to perform basic math and cash handling procedures.
• Knowledge of register functions, safety policies, and merchandise presentation.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Understanding of safety and security policies.
  
  

Experience/Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred; six months of supervisory or related experience is desirable.
